1, Things you should not do in the wind and,
2, Things to do that will let you take advantage of the wee zephyrs that Wellington is famous for.
1, Mount Victoria. If you can stand still without holding on to anything you deserve a trophy (the lead boots trophy).
2, Windsurfing - need I Say more?
3, Flying into Wellington Airport. What a ride!!! ( this can be either fun or freaky -your choice)
4, Taking the ferry to and from Wellington in a southerly ( this can be either surreal or sicking -your choice)
5, Te Papa. Its never going to blow away and there is a great exhibition on New Zealand’s weather.
6, The Brooklyn wind turbine is the oldest operating wind turbine in NZ and the views are fantastic
7, Blend bar next to Nomads Capital Backpackers Hostel shows the Hurricanes games live and its warm and toasty!
8, The Carter Observatory is New Zealand’s longest-serving national observatory – in between the rushing clouds you can see forever! -
9, The Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club – Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday you can go to the yacht club and go for a Harbour Sail -
10, Diving around the south coast. Windy above, calm and peaceful below!
